DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING

plot, timeline, pacing, structure, characterization

LINE EDITING

$1,200+GST

style, tone, flow, vocabulary, sentence structure, transitions

COPY EDITING

$1,200+GST

grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, tense consistency

PROOFREADING

$800+GST

final check prior to publishing of edited manuscript

(only once manuscript has already been professionally edited)

Please note: Editing is NOT proofreading.

While I do make note of spelling inconsistencies during copy and line editing ,

all manuscripts should still be proofread before publication.

MANUSCRIPT CRITIQUE OPTION

You submit up to 10,000 words.

Approximately 10 days later you will receive:

suggestions regarding focus, development, organization, clarity
feedback on proposed target market and audience
notes on consistency issues pertaining to grammar, mechanics, spelling or style.
clear idea of how to revise your writing

This does NOT include:
rewrites or revisions done for you, except in the case of providing an example of how to revise on your own
corrected grammar, mechanics and spelling, however, all these issues will be pointed out to you
fact-checking or advice on legal issues.

Fee: $350.00+GST for up to 10,000 words

This includes one 20-30 minute Zoom session or phone call to discuss points 1-4 above.

I occasionally take on smaller editing projects.

There is a minimum fee of $150+GST for these smaller projects.

This covers two rounds of edits.
