You have a book you want to write, but you have neither the time nor the inclination to do it yourself. There is another option. Ghostwriting.

You and I meet either in person or via Zoom for an hour each week (or more frequently if there is a sense of urgency).

 

I record our conversation, transcribe it, and begin the writing process. Each session will inform the subsequent session in terms of questions and topics and themes to be covered. But for the first four sessions, you “go where the story takes you.” This give me a sense of what is really important to you. After that we start filling in the gaps. 

 

You receive transcripts of our conversations, ensuring that all facts are correct. You also give me feedback around tone/style/point of view. Capturing your story is only one part of the process; revealing your unique voice, point of view and tone is crucial. Your book needs to sound like you.

Phase A Fee: $950.00 +GST per 4 sessions

Final cost will depend on the scope of the project, length of time, and word count. On average, we spend around six months in the interview stage (approx. $6000.00).

Phase B: Once the interviews have been completed, work starts on the first draft. This includes additional research, theme development, tone, point of view, story arc etc. Fee for this is approximately the same as for Phase A.

Phase C: Publication. Some clients seek representation for traditional publishing; others choose to self-publish. Once clients reach this stage, I provide quotations for self-publishing. These include editing, proofreading, formatting, cover creation and set-up on Amazon's KDP platform. Additional support includes keyword and category set-up and formulating a marketing plan to reach bestseller status on Amazon.
