The questions in this workbook demand one thing only: the truth. Pick one. Set a timer. And write. The unvarnished, unedited, unholy truth. Repeat. When every page in this workbook is filled, you will have completed the first draft of your life story.
These 30 questions were given to me by a group of eleven- and twelve-year-olds shortly before I set off on a 700-kilometre pilgrimage across northern Spain. I carried them in Petunia, my purple backpack. Each morning I picked one question at random as I set off along the next stage of the Camino de Santiago.
I burnt them under a full moon, at the end of my pilgrimage, on the Coast of Death. Each question became a chapter in my unplanned memoir. Now I offer the questions to you. To write your life story.
